The Name

First, the name.

Kasturi is the musk deer. In the old telling, it wanders the forest after a fragrance it carries within. The kitchen liked the moral: what you go seeking is usually already home.

Here, the conviction is pure vegetarian, without exception. One kitchen spans the tandoor, the tawa, Continental, Italian and Asian. The cover calls it a celebration of flavours. The room agrees.

Kasturi's sculpted ceiling: rings of crystal-and-gold chandeliers set into cloud-form coves above the dining room.

The Room

Under the chandeliers.

Rings of crystal over marble inlay. Arched, lantern-lit alcoves. Copper at the service line, white linen at the table.

The room takes dinner seriously. And breakfast. And the long lunch in between.

Copper service: a line of polished chafing dishes under the arched buffet colonnade at Kasturi.

The table is set.

One message reserves it. Ask for the VG Dal Makhani, slow-cooked overnight. Finish with a Paan Mojito.
